Senior Geologist, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) is looking to fill the under mentioned positions for its Islamabad Office.
The candidate should possess a Masters Degree in Geology with a minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience with E&P Companies M Phil/ PhD Degree will be considered as an extra qualification and given preference. The candidate should have experience in exploration, development and operations Geology with good understanding of basin analysis; GDE / paleographer mapping, play fairway analysis & mapping, wire line log analysis, resource estimation and basic knowledge of static modeling. He/She should possess sound experience of preparation of work scopes for exploration blocks, preparations of well Drilling Programs and post well studies & reports.
He/She should have sound knowledge of integration of geological interpretation with seismic interpretation for prospect generation. Also for evaluation and data room evaluations, including both quick-look and detailed assessments to rank opportunities and areas. The incumbent should be familiar with using geological, geophysical, petro-physical & engineering data with sound understanding of PC based G&G software and workstation applications. Candidate with Indus Basin Pakistan experience, i.e. extensional and compression tectonics will be preferred.
KUFPEC provides competitive remuneration packages with a very congenial working environment. The above-mentioned position is not permanent place base. KUFPEC has right to relocate to any other place where has operations.
